Social Baggage

About

September 1st, 2006

Let’s start with who I’m not. I’m not a gay feminist liberal like a lot of bloggers on the net. I’m not even some perverted college student who just uses his site to get off on reading visitor chat. If you know anything about blogging, I’m sure you’ve seen your share of that kind of crap.

I’m just a guy venting some steam. I have something to say about the world around me, so I’m putting it here. If you agree with my opinions, fine. If not, go somewhere else or get your own site. You are free to believe whatever you want. Just don’t waste my time with emails telling me how much you hate me because I really don’t care. (BTW, you will notice there are no email links or other contact info on this site)

Social Baggage is guaranteed to offend someone somewhere. If it’s you, congratulations! You got your money’s worth.

A little bio information, now… I’m over 30. Married. Two cats. One kid.
When I started this site, we lived in Southwest?Missouri. In 2006, we made the move to Hilton Head Island.
Before that, I spent seven years working in a factory for a major corporation. I’m an artist by nature, but try to stay in touch with reality. The views expressed on this site are pretty much a result of spending years in Missouri dealing with regular people, management and village idiots.

beliefs:
Religion: Christian
Politics: Republican/Libertarian
I’m a conservative Christian political activist. I make no apologies for it. I believe Jesus Christ is the one true Son of God and that there is no other way to heaven except through Him. Abortion is wrong and prayer in school is right. My heroes are John Ashcroft, George W. Bush, King David and a man in his late 60’s with Down’s Syndrome who was never expected to live past his teens.

Politically, I believe in freedom. I do not think it is the government’s job to take care of people. It is the government’s job to defend our borders, uphold the law and leave us alone. Income tax should be abolished and property tax is a crime against humanity. Oh, there’s a lot more to it than that, but it’s a good start on where I stand.
